Meet Our Doctors

Allan J. Baker DDS

Experience

Dr. Baker graduated from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry in May 2019. Finishing in the top 10% of his class he was inducted into the honors fraternity, Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Prior to dental school, he attended Michigan State University in East Lansing where he received his Bachelor of Science in Physiology.

Following dental school, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Idaho State University in Boise, Idaho where he was able to work with dental specialists daily. He was able to undergo extensive training in IV sedation, oral surgery, dental implants, periodontics, prosthodontics, endodontics, cosmetic dentistry, and more.

Currently, he is a continuing education junky and travels across the country to learn from the best. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, but above all, his favorite part of dentistry is building relationships with his patients. He firmly believes that Health is Wealth and that investing in yourself is the best thing a person can do.

Personal

Prior to college, Dr. Baker was raised in West Branch where he grew up farming and working for his uncle’s lawn care company. Brooke, his beautiful wife, also grew up in the area. They are both 2011 graduates of Ogemaw Heights. They have two young kids, Caroline and AJ, and one on the way. They also have a standard poodle mix, Paxton, that you might see them walking in town. Outside of spending time with his wife and kids, Dr. Baker enjoys watching sports, exercising, snowboarding, farming, and cooking. His specialties are Beef Wellington, Basque burnt cheesecake, and guacamole. Ask him about it and he just might share his recipes!

Kim Salgat, DDS

Experience

Dr Kim received his dental degree from the University of Michigan. He has his own dental practice in Saginaw, Michigan. Dr Kim works every other Thursday with Dr. Baker in West Branch. His favorite part of dentistry is giving people the smile they deserve with his favorite procedures being crown & bridge work and removable dentures. He is a member of American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and the Francis B Vedder Society. Outside the office, he is an avid golfer and enjoys riding his motorcycle around the country.

Meet the Whole Team

Brooke RDH

Hygenist
Brooke received her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Michigan. During her time at Michigan, she gained valuable experience working in the periodontal residency program alongside periodontists. Her favorite part of dentistry is preventing systemic disease with periodontal therapy. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Dr. Baker. You’ll find her at the park or on walks with her two kids, reading any nonfiction war novel and researching homeschool curriculums.

Jamesine RDH

Hygenist
Jamesine is a graduate of Delta College. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is building relationships with her patients and helping people have healthier mouths. She enjoys camping, cooking, and caddying for her husband Troy who is an avid golfer. She has two dogs, Bugsy and Dino. Weighing in at 206 pounds, Dino may be the largest dog in northern Michigan!

Tori RDH

Hygenist
Tori is a dental hygienist who graduated from Delta College with an associates degree in dental hygiene. She also graduated from Ferris State University with a bachelor’s degree in health science. At Delta College, she won the golden scaler award for being the top hygienist in her class. Her favorite part of her job is educating her patients on proper oral hygiene in a calm and comfortable way. She is a gifted singer, enjoys horseback riding, and cannot say no to fostering cats. She has two horses named Archer and Ivy, three cats named Pebbles, Stuart, and Raven, and a dog named Porter. Fun fact: she is the reigning “Name that artist” champion of the office, but who’s keeping score ;).

Sarah RDH

Hygenist
Sarah graduated from Delta College in 2009 with her hygiene degree where she was also awarded the golden scaler award for being the top hygienist in her class. She loves her career, it has never felt like work! Helping patients understand the importance of dental health, making sure they are comfortable, and seeing their returning healthy smiles is rewarding to her. In her spare time…JUST KIDDING! She’s a mom and dedicated farmer’s wife! They have two beautiful children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and 1,100 dairy cows. Some of her favorite things are spending time with family, camping, photography, vacationing, and just taking time to enjoy living. Sarah’s glass is always half full and is a firm believer that everything always happens for a reason.

Carley RDH

Hygenist
Carley is our newest hygienist. She graduated from Delta College where she won the community award. She previously worked as a travel hygienist in Austin, Texas, before returning to her hometown of West Branch. Helping people have beautiful smiles is her favorite part of dentistry. Frowning is not an option in her chair! Her passions outside of the office include golfing and hanging out with friends and family.

Krysta

Assistant
Krysta attended Ross Medical Education Center’s where she graduated from the dental assisting program. She is a gifted clinician and can be found designing same day crowns. Outside of the office she can be found playing volleyball and being the best auntie in the world to her new baby nephew.

Carli

Assistant
Carli has her associate degree from Kirtland Community College. She is a licensed cosmetologist that switched to dental assisting. She loves assisting oral surgery and straightening teeth with SureSmile® clear aligners. Her hobbies are caring for her problematic pooch (Kate) and spending time with her husband and three daughters.

Chloe

Assistant
Chloe is the newest member of our team. We are so happy to have her on our team. She is a delight to be around and is always smiling! She is a dental assistant who loves restorative dentistry. Outside of the office she enjoys golfing, hunting, and spending time with her friends and family.

Lisa

Office Manager
Lisa is our office manager and insurance guru. If you have any questions, she is the lady to ask. She has over 30 years of experience in the dental field. Her favorite part of her job is seeing happy patients. Lisa is a very selfless person that is always volunteering in the community. She runs and organizes the local community food truck in the area one Friday a month. If you’re looking to volunteer, she could use your help! She enjoys spending time with her family and camping.

Michele

Business Team
Michele is a receptionist and will likely be the first person you meet when you check in for your appointment. Michele is very knowledgeable and has many years of experience working in the dental field. Her favorite part of her job is helping patients. Michele has a kind heart. She can be found in the office hanging out with AJ (Dr. Baker’s toddler) or rescuing insects before other team members exterminate them. Outside of the office she enjoys being with her family and her beautiful golden retriever, Rosie.

Christina

Business Team
Christina has been a receptionist for many years. She recently joined our dental team and we are very happy to have her here! Christina truly cares about helping people. She has a great personality and is always smiling! She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Her children are active in dance and 4H. Her passion is being outside on their farm with her short horn show cattle, horses, chickens and her goat, Darby.
