3 Tips For Fabulous Holiday Pet Pics
It’s that time of the year again the holidays! For many of us, the holidays consist of taking family pictures. As pet owners and lovers, we usually want to include our furry friends to make the picture complete! Some of us may even be guilty of a little pet holiday costume photo shoot (don’t worry you’re not alone.) But, let’s be honest, it isn’t always easy to direct their attention to the camera at the right moment.
Below are some easy tricks to help you capture the perfect holiday photo of your pet.
Use the treat trick.
There is nothing like good old fashion bribery to get your pet’s attention. Start by giving your pet a few treats beforehand to let them know you are not just tempting them. Once you earn their trust, start using the treats to direct their attention to the camera. Hold the treats near the camera or tap them on top of the camera to draw their eyes to the lens.
Get on your pet’s level literally

Photographs taken looking down on your pet can give it a very “human perspective.” Get down to where you can look at your pet eye to eye. This will give you the opportunity to enter a world from their perspective, and capture a more personal photo.
Include people and interaction
Photographs including family members interacting with your pet are always great! Capturing these interactions and candid moments always seem to be more memorable when looking back at them later on. Photographing interaction allows everyone’s personalities to shine.
