In 2022, Gurtler Industries, Inc. launched Gurtler Logistics—a fully owned division of the company dedicated to providing reliable, on-time product delivery to laundry operations across the country. We developed Gurtler Logistics to address industry-wide challenges such as truck and driver shortages, rising delivery costs, and supply chain delays. Investing in our own fleet of semi-tractors, trailers, and bulk liquid tankers, and hiring our own staff of fully qualified drivers has allowed us better control over delivery operations, ensuring efficient delivery as part of our commitment to being a value-added partner. Plus, as Greg Gurtler, President of Gurtler Industries, states, “Our customers benefit from having a Gurtler employee on site for personalized delivery service.”
Gurtler Logistics has provided more flexible delivery scheduling, improved on-time delivery, and ensured safer, more efficient handling of packaged goods and bulk chemicals. All Gurtler drivers are trained and certified in hazardous materials handling, giving our customers peace of mind. And our customers are impressed with the Gurtler Logistics team. As Rick Garland, Director of Enterprise Laundry states: “The Gurtler driver that delivered our chemicals did an excellent job; my staff was greatly appreciated with professionalism. He was an excellent example for Gurtler.”
Not only do we deliver customer orders nationwide, but we also pick up raw materials from vendor terminals in the greater Chicago area, as well as pick up empty containers such as chemical 220- or 330-gallon totes and 55-gallon drums across most of the eastern US. Currently over 80% of empty containers are picked up by our trucks and returned to our manufacturing site for cleaning and refurbing, ready for reuse.
Keep your eyes on the road to spot a Gurtler Industries truck on its way to a valued customer!
