Canine Extraction Lab

I think we can all agree that canine dentistry can be a very challenging area of veterinary practice. This course aims to assist veterinarians in becoming more adept at dental care for dogs. It is geared towards doctors only and is limited to 10 veterinarians.

Student Reviews:

Thank you for this informative and relaxed wet lab experience. Your hospitality and hands-on instruction were invaluable toward making this a low-stress environment within which to practice some new skills and polish-up some old ones too.

This was an invaluable experience. The staff was so welcoming, open and educated. They never made you feel bad about not knowing how to do things and genuinely felt proud when you succeeded. Working on actual cadaver heads was as close to the real thing as possible but took away the nervousness about making any mistakes and allowed working on difficult teeth that normally would be referred.

Fantastic course! I would’ve loved for more radiograph interpretation to be included but I understand why there wasn’t time for it. Everyone was very kind and helpful, clean facilities, and we were well fed. Thank you!

Lectures were easy to understand and helped create a great baseline. Being able to get hands-on practice with the specialist being near by allowed planning for complications if they occurred which makes dealing with real life complications less stressful. Would attend again!

I thoroughly enjoyed the entirety of the experience. It was nice to be in a setting where the priority was genuinely to foster understanding and improve our ability to practice a high standard while feeling safe enough to ask questions and make the necessary mistakes as to avoid them in the real world. The instructors were all so nice and easy to talk to.

This dental CE was an excellent experience and highly beneficial for improving my canine dental skills. I learned a great deal and feel far more confident performing canine dentals and extractions than I have in the past. The hands-on instruction and structured wet lab allowed me to refine my technique and approach extractions more methodically, which has made me feel much more comfortable taking on canine dental cases in practice.

The instructors were friendly, engaging, and incredibly supportive, creating a positive learning environment that encouraged questions and skill development. Dr. Jucan and Dr. Young did an outstanding job designing and leading a well-organized wet lab that was thoughtfully paced and never felt rushed. The inclusion of high-quality dental equipment, handpicked by veterinary dental specialists and provided to take home, was an added bonus that will directly benefit my canine dental work moving forward.
